    Your Tasks

    Your tasks:
    • Oversee and run the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and taxes
    • Create and support Management with regular and year-end financials and P&Ls and prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Assist project work on global insurance database "IBIS"
    • Coordinate insurer statistic and profit share quality checks and distribution
    • Conduct data queries from DB Schenker BI systems
    • Update and issue global insurance booking instructions for front-end systems
    • Ensure tax-compliant accounting processes and bookings and carry out tax risk reporting
    • Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
    • Coordinate payment and distribution of centrally paid insurance premium invoices and administrate the premium allocation of all centrally paid insurance premiums
    • Coordinate and conduct procurement orders for the Insurance department
    • Maintain communications with regional Schenker insurance personnel and answer questions regarding their allocated premiums.
    • Perform ad hoc analysis and support projects as requested

    Requirements

    Your profile:
    • You have a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Insurance Market management or any other relevant field or comparable relevant qualifications
    • You have the ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify/resolve issues before they transpire and draw appropriate conclusions
    • You can express ideas and messages clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with the ability to build relationships quickly and communicate at all levels and with a wide range of people
    • You have the ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority
    • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory; ability to speak several European languages preferred
    • Tax knowledge and an insurance background would be an advantage
    • You are a team player
    • You are prepared for occasional business travel
