Your Tasks
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
- Promote and enforce Global data & analysis standards across the Region
- Provide reporting and analysis solutions for Ocean Operations beyond globally provided standard dashboards/reports, based on Global platforms and standards
- Ensuring that regional reporting and analysis activities correctly apply defined business rules, frameworks, and toolsets
- Establish additional, local, or regional feeds in line with Global standards (Part of Demand Mgmt. Process) Consolidate and govern local reporting and analysis activities to drive synergies, eliminate waste, and ensure alignment with Global standards Skill Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business process context in global freight forwarding
- Thorough understanding of operational environments in global freight forwarding
- Ability to synthesize and articulate clear problem statements from varied inputs and viewpoints
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially the ability to analyze and communicate at an architectural level
- Solid understanding of and familiarity with the applicable frameworks, technical solutions and tools
- Solid understanding of IT architectures and the implications of business decisions onto IT and vice versa
- Strong communications, influencing and negotiations skills incl. track record of presenting to large groups and top management groups at board meetings or at conferences
- Innovative curiosity, passion for problem-solving
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Requirements
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
- A minimum 10 years track record in large, multi-national organizations with an emphasis on over-arching business architecture, solution strategy, - identification and - development
- Extensive experience in a comparable function, preferably in the logistics & transportation sector, especially Air & Ocean
- Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams, virtual communities & influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
- Master's degree in related technical / business areas or equivalent work experience
