    Your Tasks

    The IT Demand Manager/IT Business Analyst - Output & Document Management" takes Schenker internal business and functional unit needs and requirements via a standardized demand management process and refines and transforms them into viable specifications for IT solutions and defines acceptance criteria for the existing/newly to be build IT solution.
    In the role of an IT Business Analyst, he/she supports the assessment of business needs and enhances initial demand descriptions (e.g., by non-functional requirements, projects requests and business cases). In the role of the IT Demand Manager, he/she builds a strong network with the IT Alignment council for future demand requests and possible delivery plans and outcomes. The IT Demand Manager oversees the whole process chain from demand, solutioning over project fulfillment and handover in collaboration with Delivery/Project Managers to service delivery including enablement of benefit tracking. He/she ensures that the business requirements are fulfilled with an appropriate IT Solution. By supporting the setup of projects and connecting the dots he/she manages the stakeholders in the function of an ambassador for the team and its product owner and is consulting requesters in what the global team can do and where new solutions would need to be found. Furthermore, a new request management process for working with demands and change request with one face to the customer needs to be created. Thus, strong cooperation with other IT roles and business to ensure successful IT development and project delivery is key but also working in a challenging environment with focus of demand to benefit approach.
    Your tasks:
    • Coordinating and managing the request management with Demands and Change Requests for the team
    • Collection and review of demands handed over from partner units and peers
    • Eliciting of business requirements from demands and review of options with key SPOCs within the IT&D community
    • Analysis, and evaluation of business requirements and user needs
    • Handover of demand requests to the implementation teams
    • Responsible for overarching demand synchronization and consolidation within the team
    • Solution strategy development, demand refinement and solution design preparation together with Solution/System Architects and technical experts
    • Responsible for initiation, coordination, and monitoring of implementation of approved demands
    • Communication of business objectives to technical teams and technical solutions to the business customer representants in/out IT
    • Visualization of complex processes and workflows with different modelling languages and best practices
    • Represent for Digital Document Services as part of ODM's service portfolio for new demands and requirements for extensions of existing services and solutions
    • Development and handover of project requests (quality, scoping, effort/cost estimation, business case and prioritization) to portfolio management
    • Support of business case creation and evaluation of demands based on the portfolio criteria in alignment with the relevant IT/domain architects
    • Definition and implementation of demand management standards and frameworks, guidelines, and policies
    • Establishing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders/requestors
    • Regular publishing of reports; defining, maintaining, and developing of data sources including the charging models together with the IT Service Manager
    • Supporting internal initiatives within the team together with the ODM Management team to improve ODMs service offerings, processes and quality with the voice of the customer

    Requirements

    Your profile:
    • Study to university degree level of natural sciences, computer science, business, or an equivalent education
    • Strong capability and foundation to gather proficient understanding of Schenker business domains and capabilities on cross functional level in relation to digital document services as part of Output and Document management domain
    • Expert in consulting business users and internal customers/partners within IT and other functional units, building strong relationship management in combination good business acumen with all related stakeholders
    • Expert in coordination, communication within a virtual and international environment
    • Able to moderate and host communities and initiatives
    • Strong skills in documentation of knowledge and processes
    • Solution oriented mindset with ability of assertiveness
    • Proficient knowledge in business analysis and translating functional requirements into technical requirements for the different delivery teams within ODM
    • Competent skills in frameworks for business analysis and/or requirements engineering like BABOK or similar
    • Multiple years working experience in IT and several years working in familiar role
    • Solid knowledge base about logistics, logistic processes is a plus, general knowledge about processes and process design is a must
    • Process or workflow modeling tool experience
    • Strong business, system, and customer service orientation
    • Experience with documents digitalization processes and workflow acceleration tools as part of Output and document management domain
    • Experience with other automation technologies will be an added advantage.
    • Good understanding of project and application life cycles and work in an Agile delivery model; strong experience with JIRA and Confluence
    • Good knowledge of formalized methods for specification (e.g., Use Case Modelling, Data Modelling, Interfaces)
    • Strong hands on mindset
    • Fluent spoken and written English
    • Nice to have: IREB (or similar) certification, German skills
