General Description:
Main Tasks and Accountabilities:
- The primary responsibility of the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market is to develop and execute highly effective marketing and communication strategies.
- The role is crucial in promoting and enhancing company brand visibility and market position in the region. This key leadership position requires a strategic mindset, creativity in crafting perception-influencing campaigns, interpersonal skills, and strong project management abilities.
- Operating independently to shape the brand's success and drive impactful marketing initiatives.
Main Tasks and Accountabilities:
- Develop the overall regional marketing and communications strategy in alignment with the Regional Management team. Oversee the preparation of the same at a country level, ensuring adherence to global guidelines.
- Be the regional counterpart of the global marketing and communications team.
- Develop and manage the regional marketing and communication budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
- Serve as a consultant and provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders on the most effective marketing campaigns and communication initiatives.
- Oversee the development of content for public relations, direct and digital marketing, and advertising campaigns, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with functional and business units to identify marketing opportunities, develop, evaluate and manage creative programs (including email, digital, social media, and content marketing campaigns).
- Analyze post-campaign reports on marketing and advertising metrics, making necessary adjustments to the strategy. the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to the management team.
- Participate in industry workshops, ceremonies, and other events and programs for publicity, brand visibility, customer interaction, and information-sharing purposes.
- Maintain media relations on behalf of the company with regional and national media and publication houses.
- Act as the spokesperson for the Middle East and Africa organization, addressing written and oral inquiries.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices through workshops, research, and seminars. Share best practices with the team and where relevant leverage new learnings to optimize marketing and communications efforts.
- Develop and manage the regional marketing and communication budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources.

Job Qualifications:
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven work experience of 7-10 years in marketing and communications, preferably within the supply chain industry.
- Master's degree in Marketing or Communications or Journalism or a relevant discipline.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects from conception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of the Middle East and Africa market, including cultural and business practices.
- Experience working in a matrix organization, collaborating with diverse teams.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative marketing and communication strategies that align with business objectives and drive brand visibility in the MEA market.
- Proficiency in conceptualizing and executing creative and perception-influencing campaigns that effectively promote the company brand and differentiate it in the MEA market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Project management abilities to oversee and successfully execute multiple marketing and communication initiatives within budget and timelines.
- Self-motivated and capable of operating independently, taking ownership of projects, and making informed decisions to drive results without constant supervision.
- A deep understanding of branding principles and the ability to effectively position the company brand in the MEA market.
- Proficient knowledge of the Middle East and Africa market, including an understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, cultural practices, and regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication campaigns and make data-informed adjustments to optimize results.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines in all marketing collateral and communication materials.
- Ability to maturely represent the MEA region in global forums, providing valuable insights and advocating for regional interests.
